Dryer Vent Cleaning in Salt Lake & Utah County
A clogged dryer vent does more than slow down laundry day. It makes every load take longer, runs up your power bill, wears out the dryer's heating element faster, and is one of the more common causes of house fires in the U.S. Lint builds up inside the duct where you never see it, especially on long runs and vents that exit through the roof, where it's easy to forget the vent even exists. Vent Pros Utah cleans the entire line, from the dryer itself to the outside termination point, and proves the airflow is working before we leave, not just after we think it's clean.
The clearest warning signs: clothes taking more than one cycle to dry, the dryer or laundry room getting unusually hot, a burning or musty smell when it runs, visible lint on the outside vent flap, or a "check vent" warning code like d80 or d90. If it's been more than a year since the last cleaning, that alone is reason enough to get it checked. We recommend yearly cleanings for most households.

How we clean your dryer vent
-
Start outside. We run an air hose through the vent from the exterior all the way back to the dryer, then turn on the air and pull the lint and buildup out through the outside.
-
Check the dryer. We come inside and check the inside of the dryer itself.
-
Test the airflow. We turn the dryer on and check the airflow at the outside vent, so we know air is moving properly and efficiently.

Common questions
Is a roof-vent cleaning more expensive than a wall vent? Yes. Roof exits take longer and require ladder work, so they have their own flat price, separate from wall-exit vents. You'll know which applies to your home before we quote you.
Do you clean the vent from inside or outside the house? Both. We start outside and run an air hose through to the dryer, pulling lint out through the exterior vent, then come inside to check the dryer connection itself and confirm airflow.
Can a dirty dryer vent actually cause a fire? Yes. Lint is highly flammable, and a blocked vent traps heat around the dryer's components. It's one of the leading causes of home dryer fires, which is why we test airflow before we consider the job done.
